Cloister of the San Pablo University Hall of Residence

The AOM Architecture Department has carried out the design and execution of the reform of the Cloister of the Colegio Mayor Universitario San Pablo.

It is a unique lighting project made to measure. Luminaires have been used BLUE Line® LED specific for outdoor use with IP67 protection, such as wallwashers, recessed floor lights and projectors for garden areas.

For the interior cloister (circulatory) area, spotlights with double-circuit controllable lighting have been used, creating lighting in three scenes: Lower lighting only; only overhead lighting; full illumination.

Special attention has been paid to the light colors used throughout the lighting project, in which the color temperature of 2,700ºK has predominated. It has sought to enhance both the warm colors of the double glazes of the facade paint and the different textures of the stones used in the cloister, such as granite from the Sierra de Madrid and limestone from Campaspero.
